PAT SAGARA

Coach Sagara was born in Los Angeles, California but grew up playing hockey on the creeks and ponds of suburban Chicago.  After moving back to Hollywood, California he gave up playing hockey to play high school football and track.  During summer breaks in high school he worked on a ranch in Southwestern Montana as a wrangler and ranch hand.  Upon graduation he was a bull rider for his college team for two years competing in different rodeos throughout the Southwest.  He took up playing roller hockey in the late 1980's first as a forward then as a goalie and has played that position for various men's recreational teams in San Diego and traveling to tournaments since then.  He has coached assorted levels of roller hockey teams since 1996 and enjoys having a role in helping to promote the sport in San Diego by passing on his accumulated knowledge to the next generation of roller hockey players.
